Hakeem Odumosu

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Hakeem Odumosu has made a major success in his vow determination to continue to provide maximum security  for the residents of Lagos State as he deployed his crack anti- kidnapping Operatives to rescue a 17-year old  herdsman from kidnappers in Epe forest. Five suspected were arrested.


The arrested suspects, Umaru Abdulahi, Majuba Mohammed, Aliu Ahamajo, Mohammed Umaru and Shehu Malami, according to the Police kidnapped the victim, Salisu Mohammed, their kinsman on June 9, 2020 at his cattle rearing centre in Epe, Lagos while he was sleeping and taken into  the thick forest in the area.


Police alleged that the suspects later  established contacts with the family of the victim  and demanded N10 ransom.


Police further alleged that while the ransom negotiation was going on, CP Odumosu received a tip off of the incident and he swiftly deployed his operatives to EPe forest to rescue the victim unhurt and to ensure they arrest the suspects.


Following the CP’s directives, the operatives stormed the forest to rescue the victim and arrests five suspects.


A Police source said all the arrested suspects would be charge to court after conclusion of investigations.
