The police at the Ajah Division of the Lagos State Police Command, Ajah, Lagos have arraigned a 16 years old boy, simply n as nAdekunle before a Lagos Magistrates court for allegedly stealing the sum of N340, 000 inside the Bank at about 2.30am.


The accused, a resident of Abimbola Street, Even Estate, Ajah, Lagos was charged before the Igbosere Chief Magistrate Court, Lagos on a one count charge of stealing.


The accused pleaded guilty to the Charge when the charge was read to him.


Police counsel, Peace Chukwudi told the court in charge No C/09/2020 that the management of First City Monument Bank, FCMB caught the accused at midnight inside the bank with stolen N340, 000.


Chukwudi said that the management of the Bank stated that during questioning, the accused said that he rushed along with customers at about 4pm the previous day to enter inside the bank and went to the toilet to hide till the bank closed for the day.


The accused further stated that he ransacked all the workers safe at 2.30am and found the sum of N340, 000 and hide it inside his clothe; adding that the security men on duty arrested him as he made to find his way out of the banking hall.

She said the offence the accused commuted was punishable under section 28 of the Criminal Law of Lagos state, 2015.


The accused pleaded guilty to the charge and Magistrate K.O Doja Ojo adjourned the case till 15 April for facts and sentencing and ordered that the accused she kept at Lagos State Government Correctional Facility at Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos till the adjourn date.
