Operatives of the Economic and Financial Commission, (EFCC) have arrested 16 suspected internet fraudsters popularly called ‘Yahoo Boys’ in Lagos and Ogun States .

The suspects, according to the  anti-coruption Unit were arrested in Victoria Island, Lagos and Ota area of Ogun Southwest, Nigeria.

The Commission said items recovered from the suspects include different brands of expensive automobiles allegedly acquired from the proceeds of the fraudulent activities.

The Commission said the suspects would be charged to court after conclusion of investigations.

EFCC have vowed to stamp out corruption, internet fraud and other vices from the Nigeria. The EFCC led by Mr Ibrahim  Magu had been clamping down on the internet fraudsters and  other  economic saboteurs  Nationwide to protect the image of Nigeria.
