The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADS) on Tuesday called on the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai to address insecurity by way of creating additional jobs for youths in the State.
ADS, Kaduna state branch in a birthday message to the Governor commended him for creating Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs as well as supporting security agencies in the state through funding, provision of equipment and logistics amongst other supports to ensure that citizens of the state can live in peace and security.
The Society then noted that the state government need to take strategic steps to nip in the bud the cases of kidnapping and armed banditry that tend to become rampart in Birnin Gwari, Igabi, Giwa and even within the Kaduna metropolis.
ADS Branch Chairman, Alhaji AbdulHadi Olapade in an interactive session with the media in Kaduna, lauded the State government for its urban renewal programme through provision of roads and other infrastructural facilities and for attracting investments both local and foreign to the state.
He however urged the el-Rufai led state government not to relent but to do more especially in the area of job creation to ensure more job opportunities for the teeming unemployed youths across the state.
“I congratulated Governor Nasir el-Rufai for his 60th birthday anniversary. I want to urge the Governor to continue to work for the unity, peace and security of everybody in the state so that the state will be more secured and unified. The Governor needs to bridge all divides and forge peaceful coexistence and unity.
“He has done a lot to ensure that people benefit from the administration especially in the area of attracting local and foreign investors to invest in the state and help build its economy, but he still needs to do more to ensure that dividends of democracy gets to the people at the grassroots particularly in the area of job creation for our teeming youth.
“At 60, the achievements and reputation have shown that Governor el-Rufai is courageous, educated and a national asset. He has done well in integrating settlers and indigenes, he should take it to the next level by engineering peace and security across the state,” the Ansar-Ud-Deen branch chairman added.
